Enjoyed the free bikes and Asian breakfast at the heart of Old Quarter. The staff was helpful and there was free Wi-Fi.
Who needs a proper ventilation system anyway? The smelly and see-through curtains were a nice touch, really enhanced my privacy.

Great location near markets & tour shops, bamboo blinds for privacy, 2 bathrooms per room, free breakfast with rooftop view, friendly staff.

I stayed at Ubuntu for 5 nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially May at the reception. The beds were comfy and the rooms were clean. The location was great, next to a huge market, and they offered a nice breakfast with a rooftop view. They even had free bike rental, although I didn't use it. This hostel has a lot of potential and I loved the new design and rooftop area. I'll definitely be back!
Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

The beds in this hostel were amazing! They were the biggest I've ever seen in a hostel, with a height of 1,20mt and a width of 1mt. The curtains provided 100% privacy and made me feel like I was in my own little room. The smart lamp and multiple plugs were a great addition too. The rooftop seating area was definitely a highlight. It offered fantastic views of the city and a refreshing breeze. Plus, the location couldn't be better, with the famous night market street just steps away.
The cleanliness of this hostel left something to be desired. The bathrooms were smelly and unclean, and the housekeeping staff did not seem to prioritize cleanliness.

The hotel's rooftop area was a delightful surprise for me. The cozy seating arrangements and beautiful decorations made it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the views of the city. As a senior woman, I appreciated the accessibility of the rooftop, as there were comfortable chairs and easy access through the elevator. It was a lovely place to unwind and soak in the atmosphere of Hanoi.
The only thing I would have asked for during my vacation as a senior woman is a more attentive staff. While the children working there were polite, there were instances where I felt the need for a bit more assistance and guidance.
